1.      Lists out the details about the properties of the tool steel and aluminium.

2.      Assemble each part of the Auto-sampler XRD.

3.      Prepare presentation slide for Viva 2.

1.       Decide the dimensions for each part of the auto-sampler.

2.       Group discussion for the technical drawing.

3.       Group discussion to improve the design of the auto-sampler.

Weekly Report (Week 5)

• Discussion on the Second Viva after attending the T-Flex Course at Seriab last week
• Each of the group member is capable to handle T-Flex software to perform the given task
• First T-Flex drawing has been sketched out

1.       Edit problem statement, objective and job description.

2.       Construct the detail drawing for each part of the machine.

3.       The dimension for the autosampler was measured.

Weekly Report (Week 3)

1.      A meeting with supervisor to discuss our first failure.

2.      Identify the operation of X-ray Diffractometer use at Muhibah lab.

3.      Design a new auto-sampler model and sketch out the design.

4.      Choose suitable materials for our new auto-sampler design.

5.      Estimate an affordable budget for our new design.

6.      Prepare for Re-viva, make presentation slide, discussion among team members.

7.      Re-viva on 22/9/2015 morning at 9am.

Weekly Report (Week 2)

1.      Discuss about the contents of the part of proposed product.

2.      Discuss the design of the auto-sampler and sketch the design.

3.      Doing research on the suitable material used for the robotic arm, auto-sampler plate, sampler holder and the stand of the auto-sampler.

4.      Predict the budget of the auto-sampler.

5.      Group meeting among group members and doing the presentation slide for first Viva on 17^th September 2015.

6.      First Viva presentation on 17^th September 2015.

• Understanding about the Capstone title: Design and Fabrication of an Auto-Sampler for X-ray Diffraction (XRD) Analysis.
• Study about XRD machine
• Collect information about auto-sampler that already exist in the market

• Figures above show various types of auto-sampler that available in the market
• Group meeting among group members and have a concept of auto-sampler of XRD
• Job and tasks are distributed equally to each of the group member
• Each of the group members start to do the task assigned to them in order to complete the proposal
